Clyde Herring Obituary
A gifted speaker, dedicated pastor, and author of devotional books and instructional materials for the Baptist Sunday School Board, he loved Jesus' church and His people.
Clyde is survived by his sons Jeff (Kay)Herring, a physician in Nashville, and Lee (Erricka Stane) Herring, pastor of Broadway Baptist Church in Sand Springs OK, and 6 grandchildren: Jordan (Glory) Herring of Lexington KY, Seth Herring of Sand Springs, Kendal (Daniel) Peterman of Nashville, Kelsey Kay (David) Kerckhoff of Nashville, and Scott and Leah Herring of Tampa FL.
The family wishes to sincerely thank the excellent caring staff of Brookdale Green Hills Cumberland.
The family will celebrate his accomplished life at a later time at Broadway Baptist Church in Sand Springs, OK. Dr. Nathan Parker and Lee will officiate the private graveside service at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
The family requests that memorial gifts be made to the Herring Family Prehealth Endowed Scholarship Fund, Baylor University at baylor.edu/give, Broadwaybaptistchurch.com, or Woodmontbaptist.com. Online condolences may be shared at AustinFuneralService.com 615-377-0775.

Doris and I send our prayers and sympathy to the family. Uncle Clyde Lee was a steadfast man of faith in my life. I shall always remember his special Christmas story he shared with us every year. May God grant his soul eternal peace as he ascends to heaven.
