Earline Haley Obituary

Earline D. Haley Earline D. Haley, 87, of Plainview, Texas, passed away Thursday morning, Oct. 16, 2008, at the Morton County Hospital in Elkhart, Kan. The daughter of Walter Scott and JoeAnna (Blain) Cook, she was born March 7, 1921, in Elmore City, Okla. Earline was raised in the Oklahoma City area and was united in marriage to Graven Holston Haley on Jan. 6, 1943, in Oklahoma City. The Haleys moved to Hale Center in the 1940s and then to Plainview in 1966. Earline was an active member of the Garland Street Church of Christ in Plainview, where she loved helping in whatever way was needed. She had moved to the Guymon area to be near her daughter, Sandra Jensen and family. Earline was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Graven Haley, on Nov. 16, 1989; and her son, Scottie N. Haley, on March 1, 2002. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra and husband, Ronnie Jensen; granddaughter, Melissa Campbell and husband, Charles; and two great-grandsons, Ollie and Eli Campbell, all of Guymon, Okla. She is also survived by special nieces and their families, Johnnie Lou Burnett of Lubbock, Texas, Betty Greenhaw and Doris Sanders, both of Cotton Center, Texas; special nephews and their families, Floyd Waters of Plainview, Texas, and Ernie Waters of Virginia; along with her special church family at Garland Street Church of Christ. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday afternoon, Oct. 20 in Plainview Memorial Park Cemetery in Plainview, Texas, with J.W. Hamby officiating. Services are under the direction of the Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home. Friends can sign the online guest register at www.bunchroberts.com. The family suggests that memorials be made to the Garland Street Church of Christ. Memorials will be accepted at the church office or the Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1112, Guymon, OK 73942.
