Furney Defentrice "Dee" Buffkin

Furney Defentrice "Dee" Buffkin age 81 died Friday in Grand Strand Regional Hospital, Myrtle Beach, SC.
Born in Horry County, SC he was the son of the late Tom William Buffkin and Frosty Pridgen Buffkin.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years Shelby Jean Buffkin of the home. Two sons, James William Buffkin and wife Gail of Nichols, SC. Furney Dale Buffkin and wife Robin of Tabor City, NC five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son David Lee Buffkin, and five brothers.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00AM in Inman Ward Chapel with burial to follow in Hammond Cemetery, Nichols, SC. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oakdale Baptist Church Food Bank, 1695 Oakdale Rd., Loris, SC 29569.
