Harry Newell Obituary

HEMINGWAY | Harry W. Newell, 71, husband of Louise Anderson Newell, died Sunday, Oct. 10, 2004 in his residence after an illness.



Mr. Newell was born in Hemingway, a son of the late Joseph Levoy and Rita Hanna Newell. He was a retired salesman and a member of the South Carolina Farm Bureau and St. Paul's Presbyterian Church.



Surviving in addition to his wife, Louise Anderson Newell of the home are four daughters, Karen Louise Newell of Louisburg, N.C., Pattie Newell (Jerry) Harwell of Georgetown, Dayne Newell (Bubba) Coker and Paige Newell (Thomas) Gaster, both of Hemingway; a son, Andy (Renee') Newell of Kennesaw, Ga.; ten grandchildren; a brother, Tommie (Jimmie) Newell of Hemingway, and a sister, Jenny (Wayne) Ray of Hemingway.



Mr. Newell is preceded in death by a brother, Edell Newell.



Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12, in the Chapel of Morris Funeral Home in Hemingway with interment to follow in Old Johnsonville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
