Melba Moore Obituary

Melba Christine "Chris" Moore, age 76, of Clemson Trail, went to her heavenly home July 16, 2010 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.
Mrs. Moore was born in Truman, Arkansas, on May 20, 1934, a daughter of the late Grover and Faye Loggains. Mrs. Moore retired from West Virginia Wesleyan College. She was a sister of the Red Hat Chapter of the Beach Mommas. Mrs. Moore attended The Episcopal Church of the Resurrection in Surfside Beach, S.C. Mrs. Moore was predeceased by her husband, Don Moore; a sister, Charlene Hunt; and a brother, Bobby Loggains.
Mrs. Moore is survived by one daughter, Donna Lewis and husband, Sam, of Buckhannon, W.Va.; one son, Michael Moore and wife, Libby, of Apex, N.C.; one granddaughter, Emily Lewis of Buckhannon, W.Va.; one grandson, Jonathan Moore of Apex, N.C.; and Chris' significant other, Arthur Temple of Garden City, S.C.; two sisters, Joyce Allen and husband, JB, of Jasper, Ala., and Barbara Damm and husband, Walt, of Ann Arbor, Mich.; two brothers, Grover Loggains and wife, Sharon, of Watervliet, Mich., and Ricky Loggains and wife, Sally, of Mississippi.
Memorial services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, July 19, 2010 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel, with Father Ronald E. Greiser, Jr. officiating.
