Michael Sypult Obituary
He was born June 23, 1947 in Fairmont, West Virginia, a son of the late Clyde Causey and Dorothy Louise Linn Sypult.
Michael was the owner and operator of Michael & Company Hair Salon. He loved each one of his clients and the friendships that they had. They were like family to him.
He was a member of Palmetto Shores Church and Myrtle Beach Community Church.
Survivors include two brothers, Clyde W. Sypult and wife, Norma Jean ''Peaches'' of Fayetteville, W.Va., and Craig A. Sypult and wife, Lenise, of Homer City, Pa.; one sister, Diane Sypult Schneider and husband, Bob, of Myrtle Beach; stepmother, Helen Sypult of Farmington, W.Va.; one stepbrother, Charles ''Cap'' Capet of Fairmont, W.Va.; one stepsister, Cathy Maxwell of Fairmont, W.Va.; several nieces and nephews, Mark and Andy Sorine and families, Chris and Julie Sypult and families, Jason, Stephen and Kayleigh Sypult; several greatnieces and nephews; a cousin, Judy Tork; and close friends, Sandy and John Nuzum, Natalie and Steven Forte, and Taylor, Joe and Nikki Hermosilla.
Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2007, at 2 p.m. at Myrtle Beach Community Church with the Rev. Ronny Byrd and the Rev. Greg Anderson officiating.The family will receive friends following the service.

My sister, Laurie, just informed me of Michael's passing. She still lives in Fairmont and heard the news from a mutual friend. We both extend our sympathies to the entire family. We won't ever understand God's plan for our life or of those we love, until we meet with Him in heaven. But God must have needed a wonderful person to have called Michael. Dear Diane and the Michael & Co family,
My heart broke after hearing this horrible news just yesterday. Michael was so special to me.Even though I only saw him a few times a year I feel blessed to have sat in his chair while he worked his magic on this mop of hair! It is ironic that our last few conversations were about the uncertainy of life and how important it is to enjoy each day to it's fullest.Through our conversations, I know in my heart that Michael is indeed in a better place than we can yet imagin and for that I am so grateful.

Dear Diane and Michael & Company Family,
I only found out about Michael this afternoon when talking with someone at J & K Homefurnishings.
I thought they were terribly mistaken until I talked with Chrystal. I still can't believe he's gone. I am so saddened and so sorry. I can't seem to find the words to describe how I feel or to describe what a wonderul person Michael is and how much he means to me. Please know that Bill and I are praying for you all. You are all special and feel like family. Michael made Michael & Co. more than a hair salon. He has been my hair stylist for more than 15 years, but more importantly my friend.
I rejoice that he no longer is looking through the mirror dimly but sees our Lord face to face.Please take comfort in knowing this painful separation is temporary.

i can't believe michael is gone. i was just there a week ago buying hair products and he was laughing and looked great. it took me 6 years to find someone as gifted as michael to take care of my hair. i drove 45 minutes for every appointment and looked forward to our conversations. with love and in christ's name he will be greatly missed. i feel lost as you probably do also.

The passing of Michael will undoubtedly be difficult for all of us who were blessed to know and love him. Michael's heart was huge and his actions matched. I have known Michael for 17 years and in the last few we always talked about getting closer to God and about what God required of us. I take great comfort in knowing his search for God has been met with God himself. Diane, I was shocked and so saddened to read of Michael's death. Even though he never was my hairdresser he was certainly a wonderful friend. I would often see him at Food Lion or Villa Mare. He always took the time to chat with me and would willingly give me his expert opinion if I asked him a question about my hair style or color. Dear Diane and Family--I was so saddened to read in the Times about Mike's death. Although I had lost touch with him, I have such fond memories of him when we were both still in Fairmont. I'm not sure how we became friends ( I think we both frequented 12th Street pool all our youth so that was probably it). He was so funny and we used to crack each other up.
Imagine my surprise last year while watching one of my favorite shows "Flip This House" and they decided to give some guy a real haircut. I cracked up when I recognized Mike as the expert they took him too! Such a small world.
I also got reacquainted with Sally Tarley from my days in Fairmont only to find out she spent winters in Myrtle Beach and knew Mike and Diane. I think she went into the salon and told Mike were mutual friends.

I just heard about our dear Michael and I am in total shock. I was just there last Wednesday and he seemed just fine then. I still can't believe he is gone. We had talked before about our mothers' deaths...sudden just like his. We decided a sudden death was best for the one who passed on and there was no suffering and lingering for the family to endure. We didn't want to lose Michael, but his way was the least painful for him. But I cannot believe I won't see Michael again. He was my hairdresser and a friend. I just loved respected him and depended on him so much.
Please take care of his pets for him. I know you all will.
Thank God for my knowing Michael all these years. I never thought he would leave us before my time came.

As an incoming student at WV Business College many years ago I lived at the Sypult home watching the four Sypult children in the evenings while Dorothy and Clyde worked. I remember many of the "funny" tricks Mike and the rest of the gang played.

Miriam Hurwitz just called me and told me what has happened. I am in total shock and want to send my condolences to you and your family. I do not come to the beach anymore, but was planning a trip and told Miriam I had to see Michael..I loved him you know. Today is Kym's 5th anniversary and now I know that they are together. I cannot come tomorrow but my thoughts and prayers are with you.
