Sally was the first colleague I met as a new hire at CCU. She was always so kind and helpful to me and the Christmas cookies she baked for the English department each year made me remember the true meaning of friendship. I missed her terribly when she retired and will miss her even more now.

Dear Purcell family:
I am out-of-town but want you to know that my heart is with you today when you share many wonderful memories of your dear mother and wife. How Sally will be remembered--a most special person full of light, love and great personal strength. Virgil and I remember her still way back when (decades ago)'presiding' at the huge dining room table with her infectious laugh.ringing out through the house. .Her love story with husband Jack and her wonderful family--including our dear friend, Stephen--, will have a legacy to draw from that will last forever. She didn't just talk about doing something--she DID it! Our heartfelt thoughts to you now...we are here. Virgil and Valerie Graham

Aunt Sally was the best aunt you could have. She was warm, loving, funny, intelligent, and loved her family. She has left so many wonderful memories. I am so glad that she and my dad got to travel together in his last years! Her sons should be very proud and Uncle Jack lucky for the 62 years together. Lots of Love, Donna Cameron
