Arthur J. Lynch, 75, of Streator passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at O.S.F. St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 P.M. Monday, August 19th at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Streator.
Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. Monday, August 19th at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.
Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery, Streator.
Born February 12, 1949 in Chicago he was the son of Arthur and Rita (Canty) Lynch.
He is survived by sisters, Shirley Bangert of Arizona, Margaret (Tim) Dignan of Michigan, Rita Rosario of Streator and Dorothy (Chip) Paxton of Virginia; an aunt, Lillian Lynch of Bridgeview; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Genevieve Lynch, Geraldine Lynch and Pat Goodrich; and brothers, John Lynch and Tom Lynch.
Artie graduated from Streator High School in 1968.
He worked for St. Mary's Hospital in Housekeeping/Maintenance for 20 years and later worked in the same position for Illinois Valley Community Hospital for 23 years from where he retired.
He was a member of the former St. Anthony Church and currently was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church, Streator. He was also a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus.
