Dakota Rae Stewart, 20, of Ottawa, passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, May 23, 2022 at the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa, with Rev. Duane Kaufman, officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, at the funeral home.
Dakota was born on April 1, 2002 in Peoria to Michael and Jamie (Hogg) Stewart. She was a graduate of Ottawa Township High School class of 2020. She enjoyed taking care of her new puppy and spending time with her friends. Dakota loved her brothers, more than anything.
She is survived by her parents, Michael (June) Stewart and Jamie (Bill Strong) Stewart; three brothers, Patrick Stewart of Ottawa, Devan (Veronica) Green of Naplate, and Jonathan (Christina) Peverly of Oklahoma; a niece, Ellie; a nephew, Malcolm; aunts and uncles, Brad Hogg, Sandra (Erik) Zacka, Marsha Stewart, and Joseph Siebert; her maternal grandparents, Sally Orvis, Richard Hogg, and James Hickey; and her paternal grandparents, Joseph Stewart and Trude Kauffman.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family.
