Dan L. Partridge, 88, of Marseilles, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at his home.
Visitation will be from 12 to 2 p.m. Sunday, June 9, 2024, at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home in Marseilles. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with Rev. Duane Kaufman officiating. Burial will be in at a later date at Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles.
Dan was born on March 23, 1936, in Marseilles, IL, to Charles and Viola (Chapman) Partridge. On September 15, 1956, he married Shirley Carlson of Marseilles who survives.
Dan was a captain on a tow boat for 40 years. He was an owner of Ruhr Valley Marine, Pekin Harbor, Marseilles Marine and Fleeting, Four-Star Marina, and Four-Star Campground. Dan was a person that loved water and people. He loved spending time outdoors, enjoying his loving family, and all his grandkids.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley; his children, William "Wiff" (Jeanette), Terry, and Kim; his grandchildren, Jeremy, Kelli, Billy, Shane, Randi, Kimberly, Jamie, Danielle, and Kaiti; great-grandchildren, Gary, Dani, Carson, Teagan, Shyanne, Kimberlee, Michael, Seth, Savannah, Tommy, Sinda, Rella, Jayden, Shakia, Bryant, A'Lora, Aria, McKenzie, Dane, and Billie Ayn and another great-grandchild on the way; great-great-grandchildren, Neveah, PD, Elsie, Natalia, Giovanni, Gregory, Skylynne, and Kataleya.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Gary; his grandson, PD; three brothers, Don, Pat, and Charles; and his sister, Grace.
Pallbearers will be Shane Kofoid, Jeremy, Billy, and Gary Partridge, Dennis Prairie, and Raymond Green.
