Janet L. (Farneti) Frangenberg, 78, of Leonore, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at Pleasant View, Ottawa.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 27, 2022, at Queen of the Holy Rosary Church, LaSalle with Rev. Michael Pica officiating. Burial will follow in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Leonore. Visitation will be held 9:00-10:50 am Saturday at the church. Arrangements are entrusted to the Mueller-Pagani Funeral Home, LaSalle.
Mrs. Frangenberg was born September 24, 1943, in London, England to Neilio and Violet (Hunt) Farneti. She graduated from Tonica High School with the Class of 1961. She married Arthur J. Frangenberg on June 2, 1962, at St. Theresa Catholic Church, Cedar Point.
Mrs. Frangenberg was employed with the United States Postal Service as a postal worker and Postmaster in Leonore for 35 years. She was a former member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Leonore and St. Valentine Catholic Church, Peru. Mrs. Frangenberg was the Leonore Village Clerk for many years and was also a member of the Leonore Mutual Telephone Company Board. She loved playing casino boat slots with her husband, Art and sister-in-law, Mary Jane. Mrs. Frangenberg also loved to read, shop, cook, and bake, as well as decorate for the holidays.
Survivors include her two daughters, Becky (Dale) Tieman of LaSalle and Marla (Rodney) Renner of Jasper, GA; seven grandchildren, Ryan, Kyle, and Kory Tieman, Alex Kolowski, Andrew Leszczynski, Tim and Nicholas Renner; one great-grandchild on the way; one brother, Alan (Cathy) Farneti of Arlington; her brother-in-law, Ed Moriarity of The Villages, FL; her special sister-in-law, Mary Jane (Ronnie) Judd of Lostant; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Art; one son, Scott; one sister, Penny Moriarity; and one brother, Bruce Farneti.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Ryan, Kyle, and Kory Tieman, Andrew Leszczynski, Nicholas Renner, and her very special neighbor, David Strack.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Horizon House, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or to the donor's choice.
