A. Faye Latshaw, 87, of Bedford, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2026 at UPMC Altoona. She was born on May 19, 1938 in Bedford, a daughter of the late Elmer and Irma (Harbaugh) Claycomb. She is survived by two daughters: Cristi L. Gasperich and husband David of Bedford, and Dawn M. Dugan and husband Jeff of King; two grandchildren: Kayla Knoll (wife of Ryan) and Jamee Heemstra (wife of Nathan); a step-grandchild: Matthew Gasperich-Morris (husband of Kacee); and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son: Bret A. Latshaw; and two sisters: Flora Mason and Kathryn June Caro.
Faye was a member of the Bedford Presbyterian Church where she served as an elder and deacon and enjoyed her Sunday-school classes. She was the former business owner of the Landmark Restaurants, KFC of Johnstown, and the Arena/Quality Inn. She was a member of Toastmistress, served on the Home Nursing Board, and enjoyed her luncheons with classmates of BHS class of ’56. She resided for the past couple of years at Bedford Post Acute where the loving care of many made her feel much comfort.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at 12 p.m. at the Bedford Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dr. Jack Miller officiating. Burial will be private at Bedford County Memorial Park. Friends will be received on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the hour of service at the church. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make a donation in Faye’s name to the Bedford Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 7, Bedford, PA 15522.
