Graveside services for A.W. "Bud" Shaw, 95, will be held Wednesday, 2:00 PM, July 24, 2024, at Vernon Cemetery in Vernon, Louisiana. Rev. Dale Oden will be officiating under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes of Ruston.
A.W. was born April 4, 1929, in Ruston, Louisiana, and passed away July 20, 2024, in Jackson Parish. A.W. was a retired plumber. He loved to garden and especially love to grow watermelons. He was a member of Vernon Baptist Church. A. W. was a cowboy at heart and loved horses. He trained horses for years.
He is preceded in death by his wife Dale Leachman Shaw and parents A.C. and Lois Gay Shaw.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Vickie S. Womack and husband Kenneth of Chatham, Louisiana, son, William Rel Shaw and wife Shaughn of Vernon, Louisiana: grandchildren, Kenneth Bradley Womack and wife Rebecca, William Brian Womack and wife Amy, Leighann Womack Parker; great grandchildren, Brook Ashley Dupree, Madison Olivia Womack, William Tate Womack, Reese Elizabeth Womack, Ella Grace Parker, and Sophie.
Pallbearers will be Brad Womack, Brian Womack, Tate Womack, Clint Cooper, Aubrey Barr, and Keith Johnson.
The family has asked in lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Vernon Cemetery Association, 1549 Stonewall Rd., Ruston, Louisiana, 71270
