Aaron John Alverson, age 52, of Thomas Township, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 23, 2024.
Aaron was born in Saginaw, Michigan on May 20, 1972, the son of Duane Kenneth Alverson and Rosemary Martin. He attended Eisenhower High School and was part of the first graduating class of Heritage High School. Aaron served the Saginaw Community for many years as a fireman for Saginaw Township and the City of Saginaw, and also as a paramedic for MMR and Flight Care. He belonged to the Saginaw Firefighters Local 102 and was a member of the International Firefighters Association. He was a loving and devoted father and was actively involved in his children’s sporting activities. He coached his son’s North Little League baseball team for many years and was his daughter’s biggest fan at her soccer games. He also started the Saginaw Young Golds travel baseball team with great friend and former teammate Dennis Konuszewski. He was also an extremely avid fan of NASCAR and Michigan Football.
Aaron is survived by his daughter Abbey Alverson and son Brady Alverson; father Duane (Debbie) Alverson and mother Rosemary Martin; former wife and best friend Vicki (Jared) Ott; siblings Amy Barton, Tara (Tom) Pacek, Lindsey (Bryan) White, and Dustin Alverson; nieces and nephews Gabrielle Barton, Nolan Pacek, Emerson Pacek, Deacon White, Sawyer White, Madison White, and Caleb White. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 26, 2024, and at 12:00 - 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 26th at W.L. Case and Company Funeral Directors 4480 Mackinaw Rd, Saginaw, MI 48603, where a funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 27, 2024. Fr. Steven Gavit will officiate the service with interment to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens at 3:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider donating to Saginaw Township North Little League directly at PO Box 6206 Saginaw, MI 48608.
