Aaron Mackenzie Barber

Aaron Mackenzie Barber, 30, of Lubbock, Texas passed away January 23, 2022.
Aaron was born December 1, 1991, in Lubbock, TX to Dudley Barber and Lisa Barber.
Aaron has always been a person who meets people right where they are! She had a gift from the Lord of being able to "go deeper" when she listened and conversed with others. She gave of her time, her resources and herself to others as needed, making those around her feel more loved and important. Aaron's humility often stopped her from seeing her own strength and will, but it was felt and acknowledged by friends and family as she enriched their own strength, spirit, and faith.
As a daughter, she completed her parents, as a wife she completed her husband and in everything she did, she gave her all. As a friend she knew no strangers. She treated others the way she wanted to be treated. Her heart reflected Christ within her.
For Aaron, anything wrong in her world could be fixed with a trip to the barn. Her horse Firecracker gave her wings as a young middle schooler. He taught her love, work ethic, heartbreak, and how to fall down just to get right back on!
Aaron lived her life bringing up everyone around her. She had a knack for picking people back up and pushing them forward in life. Aaron loved and championed people enabling them to perform beyond what they saw possible. She was the most genuine friend, a doting mom to her furbabies, a truly talented equestrian, and an empathetic leader to those around her.
Aaron was faith driven and eager to introduce or help establish relationships with God among her friends when she saw opportunities to do so. She treated everyone as a close friend even when she had only spent a few hours with them, choosing to see the best in them no matter the circumstances.
In marriage, Aaron was an amazing wife who never passed on an opportunity to make Grant feel loved and important. Aaron formed the rock and foundation while she helped Grant build and shape the idea of home and sense of belonging. Aaron shared untold grace as she dealt with any slights or grievances Grant created.
Loved ones include spouse Grant Murray; father Dudley Barber; mother Lisa Barber; uncle Desmond Barber; grandmother Carolyn Sanderson; grandfather Bob Sanderson; uncle Brandon Sanderson; and cousin Joshua Sanderson.
