Joyce Kruse Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Sanders Funeral Home - Lubbock on Feb. 17, 2026.
Joyce Kruse, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2026, at the age of 92, in Lubbock, Texas. Born on April 30, 1933, in Hamburg, Illinois, Joyce lived a life filled with love, determination, and resilience. She was greeted in heaven by her late husband, Harlan Kruse, whom she married on April 9, 1950, in Bell, California. Harlan predeceased her on March 13, 1984.

As a dedicated mother, Joyce raised her four daughters- Mary Ann Jamison, Betty Cook, Jean Sides and Joan Clendenning-with an unwavering commitment to family and a remarkable knack for creativity. A gifted seamstress, she crafted beautiful clothing for her children, often with limited resources, showcasing her love through her handiwork. After Harlan's passing, Joyce proved to be a true embodiment of strength, taking on any task around the house, ensuring her family remained close-knit and cherished. She was a proud grandmother to six grandchildren.

Joyce's legacy is one of resourcefulness, love, and devotion. Her family will remember her not just for her talents as a seamstress but for her nurturing spirit and the precious memories they shared.

Her remains will be buried at Anaheim Cemetery in Anaheim, California, alongside her beloved husband.

Joyce Kruse will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for her strength, creativity, and the love she imparted to all who knew her.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Harlan Kruse, parents, Percy and Mabel Wilson and a daughter, Betty Cook.
