Aaron Andre Brooks, Sr., passed away on January 1, 2026, in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was 42 years old.
Aaron was born on August 13, 1983, in Chicago, Illinois, to Mark Hendricks and Sheryl Brooks. He was a proud graduate of Paul Robeson High School in Chicago and later went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Navy, from which he retired.
Aaron had a deep love for animals and found peace fishing in the ocean. He also enjoyed cooking and sharing meals with family and friends—one of the many ways he showed his love and care for those around him.
He is survived by his fiancée, Victoria Zimmerman; his mother, Sheryl Brooks-Gilliam, and her husband, Gary; his father, Mark Hendricks; his children, Aaron Andre Brooks, Jr., Jermey Patterson, Sean Ruiz, and Ah’ron Brooks; his bonus children, Caleb Zimmerman, Khia Zimmerman, and Khilar Zimmerman; his grandchild, Moses Joel Zimmerman; and his siblings, Mia Hawkins, Stephen Hawkins, Brea Jackson, Laplaude Brooks, and Sherie Brooks.
Aaron will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his service to his country, and the warmth he brought into the lives of those who knew him.
