Aaron Courtney Buchanan, age 40, passed away on March 13, 2025. He was born on July 25, 1984, in San Diego, California, to Billy and Judy (Courtney) Buchanan.
Aaron was an English professor and worked at several area colleges. He also worked at Walmart and Domino’s Pizza. He was an avid reader and loved to play video games.
Aaron was preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Judy Buchanan; maternal grandparents, Ben & Vera Courtney; paternal grandparents, Robert & Edna Buchanan; brothers: Brian Buchanan and Nathaniel Buchanan; uncles: Daniel Buchanan, Donald Buchanan, Robert Buchanan, Richard Buchanan, Monte Buchanan and Susan Gaither; and cousin, Greg Courtney.
Aaron is survived by his brother, Eric Buchanan; uncles: Larry (Darlene) Courtney, and Daniel Courtney; aunts: Elaine Courtney, Martha (Chris) Cerny, Linda Beltz, Rita Blakley, and Jackie Buchanan; numerous cousins and a host of friends.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025, 11:00 a.m., at AE Funeral Services Chapel, 603 W. Independence St., Shawnee, Oklahoma, 74804.
