Aaron Coon Obituary

COON, AARON JOSEPH
North Muskegon
Aaron Joseph Coon, age 15, went home to his Lord Jesus Christ on Monday, May 15, 2023 after winning the battle he fought hard in this world. Aaron was born in Muskegon, MI on May 25, 2007 to Edwin and Rachel (James) Coon and was a lifelong resident. Aaron was student at Reeths-Puffer High School where he was a leader in the First Priority Bible Group and was very proud to have been on the Reeths-Puffer Fishing Team. He was also very active at Fellowship Church, where he was a leader in the i3 Youth Group. Aaron's first love has always been the Lord. His faith was immeasurable. Then came his love for family and friends. Any time people met him they noticed his smile, it lit up the room. He would talk to anyone. You talked to him he would talk to you. Aaron was also a member of the "Empty Pockets Car Club" with his dad. He loved driving his 1966 Dodge Dart. He's Mopar all the way. His artwork gave him peace. He loved to draw. He has always been a loving, generous person. He touched many lives. His family and friends, many best friends, are going to miss him dearly. Survivors include his loving parents, Edwin and Rachel Coon; grandparents, Bill and Joan Coon, Bev Sall; uncles and aunts, Duane and Kacie Coon, Joe and Judy James, Kevin and Martha Sall, Beth Gates, Dean and Sandy Simons, Jeff and Bobbi Sall; cousins, Jacob Coon, Andy James, Kaleb (Jessica) Sall, Grace Sall, Lydia (Josh) Sutton, James Sall, AJ Gates, Chelsea Gates, Kaden Simons, Ellie Sall; and too many good friends to mention by name. Aaron was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jerry and Marilyn James, Russ Sall; uncle, Terry Gates; and cousin, Kyle Sall. A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at Fellowship Church (4200 E. Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442) with Pastor Mike Van Kampen officiating. Visitation will also be held at Fellowship Church 2:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Graveside services will take place immediately following a funeral procession to Twin Lake Cemetery. In lieu of sending flowers, please consider a donation to The Corewell Health Foundation, 25 Michigan Street NE, Suite 4100, Grand Rapids, MI 49503 – earmarked for Child Life (http://give.spectrumhealth.org/Child-Life/Donate). I am so Sorry to hear of your loss!
My Prayers and Thoughts are with all the family and friends of Aaron.
Aaron Truly did shine for Jesus.
I remember meeting Aaron on our very first Car Cruise with our Chevelle. When on the cruise we had stopped to meet and talked with the others and see their cars. I will never forget Aaron when I meant him Aaron had an Orange smile from ear to ear and Orange fingers from eating his Cheetos, I believe Aaron mentioned that it was one of his favorite snacks.
I know he is sitting and talking with Jesus about Cars and I can see him snacking on those cheetos.
Aaron truly was a bright light in this World!
Glad to have meant you!

Aaron and I enjoyed talking about many things, but especially Jesus and eternal life. He told me that he was my Assistant Pastor at Reeths Puffer High School. And it was true. Aaron represented Jesus well to students and faculty. He captured hearts and won souls! I looked forward to watching his gifting's grow. Now his gifts are being exercised in Paradise with Jesus. Everyone who knew Aaron had a great opportunity to learn from him. I pray we all did. I look forward to catching up with him in Heaven! And I offer my deepest sympathy to his family and friends for this separation. Trust/Believe in Jesus and you too will join Aaron someday in Heaven.

I remember the first time I met Aaron, we were at the car show at Mr quicks on apple and he was 5. I have never met a kid or an adult with as much charisma as him. Such a cool kid. That day I knew he was special!
RIP Aaron you will never be forgotten

I still remember the first time I stayed the night and I got thrown over the couch by Aaron while messing around. I'm going to miss him so much.
