I can´t believe the universe took someone as full of life, so special, and funny as Aaron. I had the best time working with him, and there wasn´t a project I produced where I didn´t say, "Let´s get Aaron. He´s the best!" Aaron was always a joy to have on set.
I remember one time we were shooting on the North Shore. It was a hot summer day in Chicago, with several locations to cover. The homeowners didn´t allow shoes inside, so we had shoe covers and floor protection in place. There was Aaron on the ground, holding the fill card for the photographer, barefoot with his feet-clearly in need of a pedicure-on full display. I told him, "Aaron, cover up those feet!" He looked at me with that mischievous grin, exposed his belly, and with a southern drawl said, "I´m from Indiana, we don´t wear shoes." I laughed so hard, blew him a kiss, and tossed a pair of blue shoe covers onto his head.
I´m so grateful I got to work with him again just this past July. We had another seamless production, and this time Aaron was dressed perfectly and wearing shoes. I adored him.
RIP, sweet Aaron. You will be so missed.
