Jose Manuel Sanchez was born on September 26, 1984 to Evelyn Sanchez and Jose Figuereo in the Bronx, NY. At 6 months, his family relocated to Rhode Island, where he remained until he graduated high school.

Jose was a loving, sweet child. At the young age of 10 he experienced the loss of his mother. He was then raised by his aunt, Luisa Sanchez-McBride, and grandmother (Marcella Hernandez), along with his siblings. Jose attended St. Augustine Catholic School, where he was apart of the basketball team. Upon graduating, Jose chose to play football as he completed his freshman and sophomore year at LaSalle High School then continuing his junior and senior year at Hope High School. While in school Jose was steadily employed by McDonalds from age 14-18. After graduating, Jose chose to attend college in Chicago, IL. In 2004 Jose was apart of the open team for Capi's Italian Kitchen at Navy Pier until 2013. After Capi's, Jose took his talents to many places, including Lyfe Kitchen, and Brown Bag Seafood. Jose was more than a familiar face in the service industry, he was a kind, hardworking soul who brought warmth, laughter and generosity to every place to visited.

In December of 2006 Jose welcomed his son, Jose Manuel Sanchez Jr. into the world. He was a proud devoted father who

frequently spoke with such love and admiration for his son. Being a father meant everything to him, and it showed in every

conversation and smile.

Jose is survived by his son (Jose), grandmother (Marcella), títi(Luisa), brother (Hector), Sister (Marsha), dad (Jose), Uncles (Eddie and Doel), bonus son (Cameron King), a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and too many friends to count.

Jose is proceeded in death by mother (Evelyn Sanchez) and younger brother (Nelson Sanchez).
