Charles Edward Taylor, 83, of Chicago, Illinois, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2025.

Born on June 22, 1942, in Chicago, Charles lived a whole and meaningful life defined by his devotion to family, his work ethic, and his unforgettable presence. He was a proud graduate of Hirsch High School in Chicago and went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Air Force.

Charles is survived by his brother, "Uncle Bob", his three sons - Erik C. Taylor, Anthony T. Taylor, and Craig E. Taylor - along with eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, all of whom will forever cherish his love, wisdom, and baritone radio voice. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who were touched by his kindness.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Caring Cremations. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of his life.

Charles will be remembered for his humor, his love of jazz, and his passion for cheering on his Chicago teams - the Bears, Bulls, and White Sox. His laughter, big hats, and unique taste in music leave an everlasting impression on those who shared those moments with him. With a big personality and an even bigger appetite for life, he enjoyed bowling, good company, and making every gathering brighter.

We love you, Dad. Rest easy, Big Fella.
