Aaron Andrew Gorden, 49, of Lansing, passed away on Monday, May 30, 2022. A memorial service to honor and celebrate his life will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at 11:00am at the Owosso First Church of the Nazarene, 1865 S. M52, Owosso. Nick Babcock will celebrate. The Gorden family will receive friends at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, Owosso Chapel, 520 W. Main St. Owosso, on Monday, June 6, 2022 from 2:00pm-8:00pm.
Aaron was born in Lansing, Michigan on March 23, 1973 to Andrew and Marleen Rae (Smith) Gorden. He graduated from Laingsburg High School in the class of 1991 and spent most of his life in the Emergency Services field. Aaron loved his family and was a friend to many, he enjoyed helping people and had a big presence about him. He spent 22 years at Delta Township Fire Department as a Paramedic/Fireman, he loved to cook for everyone, he enjoyed traveling, and liked vintage cars.
Aaron is survived by his parents, Andy and Marleen, his son, Darin (Rilee) Gorden, his daughter, Drew Gorden, his nephews, Jake (Hannah) Gorden, and Josh Gorden, also Rilee and Darin are expecting his first grandchild. His wife, Dawn O'Brien, and her sons, Sean and Shane, also his best friend, Derek Lee and Darin and Drew's mother, Allison Heath.
He was predeceased by his grandparents, and his brother, Troy Gorden.
Memorial contributions in Aaron's name can be directed to the National Kidney Foundation.
