Aaron L. Hobart, Joplin, Missouri, was born on June 28, 1947, in Peoria, Illinois, to Mary (Lowe) Hobart Dekalb and the late Leonard H. Hobart. Aaron passed on February 21, 2025, at his home.
Aaron graduated from Neosho High School in 1965. He got his first job at Pearl Brothers Hardware in Joplin. He later worked for Fleming Foods in Joplin. In 1982 Aaron went to work for Tamko Roofing Products in Joplin and retired there in 2012.
Aaron enjoyed fishing, canoeing and bowling. Along with his mother, Mary, Aaron is survived by his significant other, Sharon Conness; sister Cynthia (Gary) Shuler; 5 children, Krista Russell of Poteau, OK, Shelly Russell of Van Buren, AR, Will Hobart (Christiane) of Corpus Christi, TX, Brennan Hobart of St. Charles, Mo and Mia (Hobart) Crume (Josh) of St. Charles, Mo, 5 grandchildren, and 3 nephews.
Aaron is preceded in death by his father, Leonard H. Hobart; and brothers, Brian Hobart and Doren Hobart and a niece, Emily Jane Johnson.
The family invites friends out for a time of visitation at 1:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Mo. on Friday February 28, 2025. A graveside service will be held the same day at 2:30 p.m. at Burkhart Cemetery in Racine, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Solace House in Joplin, Mo. and can be entrusted to the mortuary.
Arrangements are under the direct care of Parker Mortuary in Joplin, MO.
