Tommy Allen Hobart, age 83, of Stone Creek, died peacefully, in his residence, Friday, August 22, 2025, following a period of declining health.

Born in Union Hospital at Dover on June 16, 1942, Tom was the youngest son of the late Raymond J. and Ardath J. Henninger Hobart.

He was a 1960 graduate of New Philadelphia High School and proudly served his country for four years as a member of the United States Navy.

For a number of years, Tom worked as a machinist with the former Warner & Swasey Company at New Philadelphia. He then spent seven years in the ministry with CPM and returned to Ohio taking on a position with Fenton Brothers Electric and ultimately retired following 15 years of service with the company.

In his free time, Tom enjoyed camping and traveling, having made memorable trips to Yellowstone National Park, the New England States, and Florida. He had a passion for cooking, and loved caring for his dogs and cat. Above all, he adored his family and spending time with them.

Tom is survived by his wife of 59 years, the former Lois Jean McCall, whom he married on March 20, 1966; their children, Carrie Fostor of Baltic, Nathan (Rachell) Hobart of New Philadelphia, and Andrew (Sabrina) Hobart of Danville; grandchildren, Tyler and Tucker Fostor, Dani Hobart, Macie and Draven Hobart, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his siblings, Larry Hobart and Judith Barbee.

In honoring his wishes, there will be no public visitation or services. The Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia is handling arrangements.
