Mildred "Milly" Ellen (Paulus) Sudduth, age 92, of Dover, passed away on Friday, July 18 after a short illness. She was born October 23, 1932 in New Philadelphia Ohio to the late Clyde and Ester (Hefling) Paulus. A graduate of New Philadelphia High School in 1950. Upon graduation, Milly was employed by Shenango Penn Mold as a secretary and later worked at TV Specialties in Dover, retiring in 2002.
Milly is survived by her children, Mark (Kim) Sudduth of Cleveland Heights, Renee (Charles) Bancroft of Carrollton, daughter-in-law; Dana Sudduth of Houston Texas; and her grandchildren, Ryan Sudduth of Houston, Texas, Jessica Bancroft of Ewing, New Jersey, Chloe' Sudduth of Cleveland, Kayla Bancroft of Carrollton, Wyatt Sudduth of Concord Township. She is also survived by her only great-grandchild Bowen Sudduth of Houston Texas.
Preceding Milly in death is her husband, Dean Sudduth, her son, David, her brother, Earl Paulus and her sister Wilma (Paulus) Perry.
Milly was a long time member of the First Moravian Church in Dover where she taught Sunday school, served on the Women's Fellowship board and was a group leader for Hope/Star Circle. Milly and her husband were members of the Tusco Traveliers and life members of the Ohio Good Sam Club. She served as a cub scout den mother and also worked for the board of elections.
Milly was a beloved and giving person of the community. She was known far and wide for baking and cooking for those in need as well as just a kind gesture for those she knew. Milly never yielded her love and commitment to family in her role as wife, mother and grandmother. She often lended a hand to church, nursing homes, community, a relative, a neighbor or even just someone in need.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 30th starting at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with Pastor Matthew Wald officiating. Interment will be at the Evergreen Burial Park in New Philadelphia. The family will be greeting friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:00 am.
The family would like to express its deep gratitude to the staff at Park Village Dover for their kindness in her final days, and to the professional nurses who provided care in recent years.
