Aaron Paugh Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Homes and Crematory - Washington St. on Aug. 12, 2024.
Aaron R. Paugh, 34, of Columbus, passed away peacefully at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, August 9, 2024, at Seymour Crossing. Born on May 6, 1990, in South Bend, Indiana, Aaron was the cherished son of Glen Warren and Nancy Jayne Davis Paugh.
Aaron's career journey included several years at Cummins Engine Company and a role in the IT department at Circle K Convenience Stores, where he found great fulfillment in his work. His true passion, however, lay in technology-a field that fascinated him from a young age. Aaron was also a devoted fan of gaming, Comic-Con, and all things anime, interests that connected him with a close-knit group of friends who shared his love for these worlds. Though quiet by nature, Aaron's presence was felt deeply by those fortunate enough to know him.
In his youth, Aaron enjoyed playing soccer, taking on the midfield position with energy and enthusiasm. His love for gaming continued throughout his life, providing him with endless enjoyment and a creative outlet. Aaron also had a particular fondness for spaghetti dinners, a meal he could savor for days, making it his all-time favorite.
Aaron leaves behind a legacy of love and memories that will be treasured by his family and friends. He is survived by his beloved mother, Nancy; his brother, Jon Paugh; his sister, Robin Gill, and her husband, Patrick, all of Columbus; his adored niece, Chloe Gill; and his nephew, Lennon Gill. He is also survived by his aunt, Lisa Buttner, and her husband, Brian, of Ithaca, New York.
He was preceded in death by his father, Glen Paugh.
Aaron's quiet strength, passion for technology, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street. In accordance with the family's wishes, there will be no formal funeral service, and cremation will follow the visitation. Inurnment will take place at Garland Brook Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Glioblastoma Brain Cancer Research at gbmresearch.org. Online condolences and heartfelt memories can be shared with Aaron's family at barkesweaverglick.com.
