Aaron Dale Reynolds 68, passed away of natural causes on Tuesday, March 26, 2024. He was a long-time resident of the Spartanburg/Cowpens area. Aaron was born in Pensacola, Florida on July 6, 1955, and moved with his family to the Spartanburg area to live for the last 60 years.
He was active in the Boy Scout program beginning as a Cub Scout in a Pack started by his mother and then as a Boy Scout with Troop 114 and Troop 12. He earned his Eagle and Order of the Arrow (Skyuka Lodge 270). Aaron graduated from C.A. Johnson High School and attended Spartanburg Methodist College.
Aaron worked for many years as a press operator at RR Donnelly and as an Animal Care Technician with the Spartanburg Humane Society. He was especially fond of caring for all domestic animals including his own beloved dogs – Mindy and Cawood. Aaron loved the Beatles and was an avid collector of Beatles and Titanic memorabilia and model railroading sets. He produced many works of art, including poetry, and was especially keen on the futuristic designs of cars, trucks and spaceships. Aaron attended Bethel United Methodist Church for many years and more recently the Unitarian Universalist Church and was close friends with Joyce Harrison and Tina Christman among others.
Aaron is survived by his mother; Maxine M Reynolds, a brother; Scott C Reynolds (Carol), and a sister; Amy Louise Craighead (Dennis). He is predeceased by his father, Merton E Reynolds
There will be a memorial service for Aaron on Friday, April 26, 2024, at 3 O’clock pm at Unitarian Universalist Church of Spartanburg located at 210 Henry PL Spartanburg, SC 29306. Aaron's family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Aaron's honor to your nearest Animal Rescue operation.
