Aaron "Maximus" Riblet, 39, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2025, in Lawrence Park, Pennsylvania. Born on April 18, 1986, in Fort Bragg, California, Aaron brought a unique blend of intelligence, humor, and quiet compassion to those around him.
Aaron spent his formative years in Wesleyville and Lawrence Park, where he attended school in the Iroquois School District. His passion for creativity led him to Edinboro University, where he pursued studies in fine arts and video. These interests reflected his deep appreciation for storytelling and visual expression.
A devoted fan of Manga and Anime, Aaron found joy and inspiration in their imaginative worlds. He also enjoyed playing video games-Stardew Valley being a particular favorite-where he could immerse himself in peaceful virtual landscapes. Despite being an introvert, Aaron had a generous spirit; he was known to help strangers at the grocery store by reaching items from high shelves without hesitation.
Aaron had a deep love for animals. He cherished the companionship of his cat and took delight in observing the neighborhood's feral cats, birds, opossums, and raccoons. His quiet moments spent with nature were among his greatest comforts.
He is survived by his father, Daniel M. Riblet, and his mother, Barbara "Bee" Lazarow, both of Lawrence Park; four aunts; an uncle; and nine cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Richard and Anna Riblet; his maternal grandparents, William J. Lazarow and Anna Lazarow Palmer; as well as one uncle and one aunt.
Aaron was smart and funny with a strong sense of justice that guided many of his beliefs. Though reserved by nature, he left a lasting impression on those who knew him through small acts of kindness and unwavering principles.
A memorial gathering to celebrate Aaron's life will be held later this summer. Arrangements were handled by the Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc.
May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
