On a blisteringly cold Valentine's Day in 1952, Richard "Rick" Michael Fogle entered the world. Rick passed on to his next life after a lengthy health battle on August 5, 2025. Rick was the second son and third child of the late Everett and Agnes (Gehrlein) Fogle.
Rick was an avid fisherman and loved to go fishing with his sons James and Kyle. He had worked at various restaurant establishments throughout his lifetime, but his health concerns began to take a toll. He enjoyed watching football, especially the Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Pirates baseball, and the Three Stooges. He had a love for the music of his time and was known as a musical encyclopedia with his family. One of his favorite musicians was Frank Zappa. He enjoyed working on vehicles with his late friend, James Heald. On August 2, 1996, Rick married the love of his life, Mary Walsh Fogle, with whom he would now embark on the next journey of their lives together in Heaven. Rick leaves behind memories filled with laughter that will live on for the rest of their days with his siblings: Larry Fogle, Darlene Harvey, and Alan Fogle.
He leaves on to carry his love of fishing and music to his children, James (Jessica) Fogle; stepchildren, Kyle McLaughlin (Arielle Ross) and Kristy (Derrick) Arnold; and his grandchildren, Nathan, Desiree, Jayden, Jordynn, Grayson and Lily; his great-granddaughter, Adriana. Rick is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Rick further leaves behind two sons from a previous marriage, Bradley and Michael Brooks.
Rick will be forever missed but not forgotten by those that had the pleasure to meet him and spend quality time with him as he left an everlasting impression. The family would like to thank the NWPA Life program for their assistance throughout these last few years.
Friends are invited to call on Friday September 5, 2025 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, 2122 Raspberry Street, Erie, PA 16502. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the family in care of the funeral home.
