Lewis Alan Fogle, age 77, passed away peacefully at home in Westerville on Sunday, August 17th surrounded by his loving children and best 4-legged friend L.J. Lew graduated from Thomas Worthington High School where he met his soon to be wife LeaAnne Smith. After marrying LeaAnne in 1964, they had 3 children and moved to Westerville where they would raise their children and remain even after death. Lew went on to work at Anheuser Busch for over 35 years as a forklift operator. Although it was his job that provided for his wife and 3 children, his true passion was being outdoors. Whether he was camping with his family or friends at Alum Creek, or fishing with his family or friends at Hoover Reservoir, Lew loved being surrounded by nature. His other favorite hobbies included throwing darts, shooting pool, playing cards, gardening, or simply listening to 60's music on his front porch day or night. Lew's legacy as a husband, was security, love, and caring. As a father, he imparted his logical thinking, integrity, respect and most important - being there for your family. His friends and family enjoyed his company, conversation, and overall fun-loving nature. Lew was sometimes known to be the life of a party! Preceded in death by his parents Fred and Helen Fogle, siblings: Sharon Hoy and Garry Fogle, and wife of nearly 50 years LeaAnne Fogle. Survived by his children: Bryan and Dee Fogle, Anita Heatherly, and Tracey and Joe Vamos. Grandchildren: Audrey and Ross Kistner, Katlyn and Devin Heath, Amber and James Smith, Brian and Gabriella Vamos, and Benjamin Vamos.
