Violet Margaret Koenig

Our family is deeply saddened to share that Violet Margaret Koenig, age 90, peacefully passed away on August 19, 2025. She was born in Budapest, Hungary, immigrating to Columbus, Ohio in 1956. Violet led an accomplished career as a cosmetic buyer at Lazarus for over 30 years and retired in their beautiful beach front condo in Clearwater, Florida. Violet lived a remarkable life of success, love and world travel. She now joins her beloved husband, Joseph L. Koenig of 70 years in heaven. She is survived by her brother, Joseph J. Kovacs, and her three loving nieces, Erika M. Panovsky, Suzenna E. McMillian, and Valleria V. Thomopalos. She is immensely missed by her 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. In honoring Violets wishes, the family will not hold a public service or gathering. They ask for your support in remembrance of their loved one. On a special note, Erika, Suzenna and Valleria want to express heartfelt gratitude to Violet and Joe, whom they warmly referred to as Mom and Dad. They stepped into role as parents, which enabled them to mature into confident, happy and accomplished women. Violets on going words of motherly advice are "Cherish your husband and family," and the girls truly do.
