Aaron "AJ" James Sharp, age 32, of Wadsworth, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on February 3, 2024. Born April 18, 1991 to parents Tim Sharp and Kim (Paul) Howe, AJ grew up in the Norton and Portage Lakes area. He is survived by his loving wife, Sarah Sharp; stepchildren, Mallory (Mike) Sidoti, Aidan Kraus, and Brody Kraus; grandson, Dean Sidoti; and his constant companions, Ruby Rose and Boogie. He is loved and remembered fondly by his brothers, Bradley Sharp and Aiden Howe; sisters, Alyssa (Adam) Bozak and Paige Howe; grandmother, Marlene Howe; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends.
AJ was a member of The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union Local 38 and an accomplished mechanic who enjoyed rebuilding motorcycles in his free time. He was a master of self-taught trades when it came to transforming the homes in which he lived. Through his grandfather and father, AJ developed an interest in boating and spent his weekends cruising on the lakes with family and friends. AJ and Sarah enjoyed comedy clubs, concerts, frequent road trips to their favorite city Chicago, and cuddling on the couch with their beloved pitties.
Anyone who spent time with AJ was instantly drawn to his gentle soul, warm smile, and his infectious laugh. He effortlessly made friends with his easy-going personality and totally ridiculous jokes. AJ touched the lives of innumerable people with his words of encouragement and unwavering patience. The many people lucky enough to call him friend, and those even luckier to call him family, will always carry a piece of AJ with them in their hearts.
Contributions in AJ's memory may be made to the Friendship Animal Protective League in Elyria, from whom Sarah and AJ adopted their two dogs (https://friendshipapl.org/). A "Celebration of Life" for AJ will take place later in the year.
