Aaron Spears Obituary

Published by Legacy on Aug. 11, 2025.
With great sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Aaron Matthew Spears, who left us far too soon on August 4, 2025, at the age of 43. Born on July 6, 1982, Aaron was a vibrant spirit-outspoken, comedic, and full of life. He was a loving father, devoted husband, cherished son, loyal brother, and a steadfast friend to many.

Aaron is survived by his wife, Icy Spears (Yin Fan Fung), and their son, Aiden Spears. He was also the proud father of Tyler Spears and Allison Spears, shared with his former wife. His love for his children was boundless, and he found deep joy in watching them grow and thrive.

Aaron is also survived by his mother, Arleen Waddill, and his stepfather, William Waddill; his brothers, Jason Spears, Cameron Waddill, and Nathan Waddill; his nephews, Jeffrey Spears and Jordan Spears, and his niece, Madeliene Waddill. He was preceded in death by his father, Jeffrey Alan Spears.

Aaron was a talented woodworker and a brilliant musician who wrote memorable songs that will forever live in our hearts. He had a deep love for music and was rarely without his guitar-whether strumming by a campfire, playing for family, or losing himself in a quiet melody. Music was his companion and his way of expressing the joy and depth of life.

His greatest love, however, was his family and the time they spent together in the mountains, forever hunting for that perfect spot by a river to build a campfire and commune with nature. Aaron found peace and happiness outdoors, and his connection to the natural world was a defining part of who he was.

Aaron's smile, laughter, and humor always brought joy wherever he went. He was a thinker and a doer, always trying to make things happen. His goofiness

brought smiles to not only friends and family but also to strangers-everyone was drawn to his charismatic personality. His laughter could turn heads, and his presence could light up a room.

He lived life on his own terms-passionately, unapologetically, and with a fierce devotion to those he loved.

A Celebration of Life will be held for family and close friends on September 19, 2025 from 5-7pm at the Richland Community Center 500 Amon Park Dr.. In honor of Aaron's life, his family encourages you to spend time outside, share a laugh, play a song, and be true to who you are-just as he always was.
