Aaron R. Stark, Jr., father, grandfather, and brother, passed away on February 24, 2026, in Palacios, Texas. He was born on December 16, 1958, in Plainview, Texas, to Aaron R. Stark, Sr. and Doris (Darden) Stark. Following his father's sudden death, Doris married Joe Harkey, who raised Aaron, Jr. as his own.  Aaron's journey was one marked by resilience, dedication, and a deep connection to his roots.

Growing up in a farming family outside of New Deal, Texas, Aaron embraced the values of hard work and perseverance. He graduated from New Deal High School in 1977, where he distinguished himself as an athlete, excelling in both football and track. His athletic spirit was complemented by his hands-on skills; he later attended South Plains College and earned a certification in welding, which laid the foundation for his lifelong commitment to practical craftsmanship.

Following his education, Aaron returned to his agricultural roots, farming in the New Deal area. In 2019, after many fulfilling years of farming, he made a pivotal move to Palacios, Texas, to assist his cousins in their farming endeavors. It was during this time that he embraced maritime life, acquiring a sailboat and enjoying the serenity of living on the water.

Aaron was deeply loved by his family, who are left to cherish his memory. He is survived by two sons, Lance Stark and his wife Leslie of Idalou, Texas, and Heath Stark and his wife Hannah. Aaron was a proud grandfather to four grandchildren: Houston, Natalie, Charlie, and Miriam Eloise Stark, who brought immense joy to his life. He also leaves behind two siblings, Sue Jensen and Neil Stark, who carry forward his legacy with fondness and respect.

His life was characterized by the relationships he built and the impact he made on those around him. Known for his warm heart and generous spirit, Aaron will be remembered as a man who valued family, dedicated himself to his work, and embraced life's adventures, including the joy of sailing. He will be missed dearly by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
