Abel E. Bryant

RICHMOND, Ind. – Abel E. Bryant, age 59, of Richmond, Indiana, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday, June 23, 2024, after a 3-year battle with cancer. He was surrounded by family and friends until the very end.
Born February 25, 1965, in Richmond, Indiana, to Louise and Charles Earl Bryant, he was one of 13 children. Abel volunteered countless hours to coaching and mentoring the youth. He coached youth football from 1994 – 2012. He also coached girls' softball and boys' baseball for several years. He was a well-known spectator at many local sporting events. In recent years his most beloved passion was his pontoon boat and time spent on Brookville Lake. Abel also enjoyed time spent with family and grandchildren. He enjoyed leading his "Sinners Only Bible Study" group.
Survivors include his wife, Casey Marie Bryant who he married July 7, 1995, after a 5-year courtship. They have 3 beloved children, Abby (Austin) Lipscomb, Trisha Bryant, and Beau Bryant; grandchildren, Blair Bryant, Gunner and Lindlee Lipscomb; brothers, Charley Bryant, Richard (Kendra) Bryant, Gary (Ann) Bryant; sisters, Doris Glover, Becky (Mike) Yount, and Sharon (Scott) Brown; many nieces; nephews; and a host of wonderful friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Chuckie, Archie, and Mike Bryant; sisters, Sally Ridner, Linda, and Trish Loaiza.
Visitation for Abel E. Bryant will be from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 27, 2024, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 28, 2024, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Goshen Cemetery.
