Abel used to play in a band we had many years ago. He was such a great guitarist and such a happy person who made you enjoy his company. His memory and spirit will endure with me always.

Remembering Abel.
A cherished memory of Abel and Collette came to mind upon their visit to see us in Seattle before traveling further north to Canada. During that time we spent a couple of days together at our cabin on Towandas Peninsula. While we were there some unusual happenings occurred:
A blue heron and bald eagle squawked its welcome; three enormous orca whales traveling south emerged from the depth of Hood Canal. Abel gulped and pointed to the orcas parading by the cabin window during our lunch. After lunch Abel and Collette helped clean up the dead maple tree that had fallen into its ditch.
We were gratified we witnessed together these serendipitous, transcendent moments, a metaphor for the impermanence of life and death. Later on, we had two other visits with Collette and Abel - one at Bill Duckworth's memorial in New York City where they performed songs in his honor. And then, a second time at another dear friend Pauline Oliveros' memorial at New York City Armory. On those occasions we so appreciated how Collette and Abel made time and effort to connect with us.
Again, impermanence was woven into our lives. We carried with us both dark and light inseparably interconnected to earth, humanity and heaven. We send our deepest love and gratitude to you, Collette, and your entire families in memory of Abel's kindness, brilliance, compassion, and generosity to all the lives that Abel has touched as he makes his way on his ultimate journey.
With heartfelt love and sympathy,
Stuart and Renko

Dearest Collette,
We are so sad to learn of Able's transition.
Please accept our love and compassion for you, family and for Able.
We are grateful for the fleeting time and friendship we shared together & know how much you loved one another.
We hope you find comfort knowing Able will embrace the earth in continuation as one with the cosmos.

With infinite love & peace,
Bruce & Susan
