Abraham Ewell Jr

Abraham "Lil Ham" Ewell Jr., born in New Orleans, Louisiana, to the late Janie Randall Ewell and Abraham Ewell Sr. He graduated from Nicholls Senior High School in New Orleans in 1996 and was a devoted member of Battleground Baptist Church. Though he never married or had children, Abraham's life was filled with love, faith, and meaningful relationships. Abraham lived with mental illness throughout his life, facing these challenges with quiet strength and grace. Despite the difficulties, he remained hopeful, humorous, and deeply connected to his family. His unique sense of humor and warm spirit uplifted everyone who knew him. He was preceded in death by his mother, Janie Randall Ewell; his father, Abraham Ewell Sr.; and his beloved nephew, Cornelius Randall. He is survived by his sister Karen Williams (Harry Sims Sr.), and brothers Darrell (Shamonda) Randall Sr. and Darren (Kim) Randall. He also leaves behind his nieces and nephews; Daron Randall, Darrell Randall Jr , Darria Randall, Cameron Randall, Candace Randall, and Marquell Williams and his cherished great-nieces, De'sanni Johnson and Reign Teller. Abraham also had dear friends and supporters who meant the world to him, including Clarence Winfield, Nevles Brown, Kim Wiggins, and the compassionate team from the New Orleans ACT Team, who walked alongside him during some of his most challenging times. Abraham will be remembered not only for the challenges he faced, but for the joy he gave. He had a way of making people laugh, even in the darkest moments. His love for music, his unforgettable sense of humor, and his deep devotion to family made him truly one of a kind. Though his time with us was cut short, the warmth of his spirit and the sound of his laughter will echo in our hearts forever.
