Abraham Josue Vasquez

Abraham Josué Vásquez 3/27/1929 – 11/24/2024
Abraham (Abe) Josué Vásquez was born to León and Raquel Vásquez in the small border town of Eagle Pass, Texas on March 27, 1929. At a young age, Abe's parents, his brother and three sisters moved to San Antonio where he grew up and attended middle school, high school and college at Trinity University.
After joining the Air Force and being assigned to Denver, Colorado in 1954, Abe joined Trinity United Methodist Church where he met and married, the love of this life, Anamae Koole (d. 2018). They had a loving 55 years together. Abe's outgoing personality, warmth and care for others was clearly evident as he served his community through a rewarding career in Social Services and his long-standing membership, friendships and involvement with Trinity UMC.
Of Abe's life-long passions – including his belief in a healthy attitude, reading and a joy of playing tennis and golf – nothing outweighed his love of family and his Faith in God.
Abe is survived by his two sons León and Daniel, their wives Carol and Amy, his loving grandchildren Alexander, Noah, Sydney, Olivia and great grandchild, Asher.
