In addition to his ambition for construction, he enjoyed being outdoors, farming, hunting, and fishing. His love for these things has been shared with and passed down to many friends and family members.
He was a member of Brooker Baptist Church and supported his community. He previously served as a council member for the city of Brooker, supporter of Brooker Athletic Association, and supported many FFA and 4H exhibitors.
