Jayne A. Adams

Mrs. Jayne Ardis Caldwell Adams, age 88 of Somerset, Kentucky, passed from this life into her eternal reward on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on April 20, 1937, in Albany, Kentucky, daughter of the late Edward Peyton Caldwell and Ardis Jaynes Caldwell. Jayne was a member of the 1955 graduating class of Somerset High School and furthered her career at Cumberland College, where she was crowned Miss Cumberland College as Homecoming Queen. On July 13, 1957 she was married to the love of her life, Edward Horton "Eddie" Adams and they recently celebrated 68 years of marriage with a romance of 70 years. Their marriage exemplified love, patience and endurance. These characteristics were evident in the rearing of their three daughters with joy and examples for others to emulate. Jayne was of the Baptist Faith and member of the Somerset First Baptist Church. She had a special love for the young people. Jayne enjoyed traveling, spending time with family and friends. She was a loving, sweet, kindhearted and generous person that always saw good in others, she will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by three brothers-in-law; James Ellison Adams, Jr., William Franklin "Billy Frank" Adams and Thomas Fife Adams.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her beloved husband; Edward Horton "Eddie" Adams of Somerset, Three devoted daughters; Becki Adams (Alan) Edwards of Somerset, Patti Adams (Evan) Roach of Louisville, Kentucky and Amy Adams McLaughlin of Cleveland, Ohio,
One sister; Patty Caldwell (Ronald) Ross of St. Mary's, Georgia, five grandchildren; Holli Lynn Edwards, Daniel Alan Edwards, Noah Adams Roach, Hannah Jayne Roach and Andrew Peyton McLaughlin, four great-grandchildren; Alan Chanler Edwards, Audrei Hayden Kiser, Tyler Keith Edwards and Laci Saige Edwards Hoskins, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday, October 17, 2025 in the Chapel of Somerset Undertaking Co & Crematory. A Celebration of the Life of Mrs. Jayne Ardis Caldwell Adams will be at 1:00 pm in the Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. David Pendley Officiating. Interment will be in the Somerset City Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
