Ada Gertrude Erwin, age 92, of Verona, Missouri, passed away at 8:45 p.m. on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri. She was born in McAlister, New Mexico, November 24, 1932, the daughter of H.D. and Sarah (Lowe) Hall.

Ada was a 1950 graduate of Quemado High School, in Quemado, New Mexico. She was a rancher and enjoyed working beside her husband S.B. every day taking care of their cattle. She was a seamstress and enjoyed making clothes for her family. She was a member of the Verona Baptist Church for 64 years.

On June 3, 1951, she married S.B. Erwin, in Quemado, New Mexico. He preceded her in death on March 12, 2007.

Ada is survived by her two sons, Eldon Erwin and his wife, Ida, of Nixa, Missouri and Les Erwin and his wife, Deborah, of Verona, Missouri; five grandchildren, Nicole (Lawrence) Hutchison, Heather (Derek) Fryar, Heath Erwin and Michelle Blankship, Derrick (Jamie) Erwin and Trevor (Jody) Erwin; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Fern Gold of Las Cruces, New Mexico and one brother, Leon Hall of Grants, New Mexico;

Ada was preceded in death by her parents, H.D. and Sarah; her husband, S.B. and two brothers and one sister.

A visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home Chapel in Aurora, Missouri, with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Spring River Cemetery in Verona, Missouri.

in lieu of flowers memorial donations in memory of Ada, can be made payable to the Verona Baptist Church.
