Ada Fetsko Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by McCabe-Roof Funeral Home - Clymer on Mar. 5, 2026.
Ada Danielle Fetsko, 19, of Marion Center, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, surrounded by her loving family.

Born April 25, 2006, in Indiana, PA, she is the daughter of Jack W. and Denise C. (Bence) Fetsko.

Ada was a 2024 graduate of Marion Center High School, where she was a member of the National Honor Society and the Art Club. She had planned to attend Mount Aloysius College and had been accepted into the Honors Scholars Program. Ada was a bright, funny and articulate young lady who loved reading, wildflowers and her family. Quick with a joke, she loved to travel and see new places. She enjoyed gazing at the stars and watching beautiful sunsets. Always concerned about her hair and makeup, she didn't want the world to see her scars; instead, she wanted the world to see the wonderful person she was, never wanting to be defined by her health.

Ada attended Dixonville Wesleyan Church and cared deeply about her family and close friends. Just when you thought she wasn't paying attention, she was actually taking mental notes, always knowing the latest gossip and what everyone had on their Christmas list. She was an excellent baker and often got very creative in the kitchen. She was a self-proclaimed food critic, bingo aficionado and sly card shark. Ada loved to cuddle with her pet pig, Blackberry Bob, and her cat, Picklepuss.

UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh was a significant part of Ada's life, where she made lasting memories with countless doctors, nurses and staff members. Many of whom made a point to visit her in her final days, each sharing a special memory of her.

In addition to her parents, Ada is survived by her paternal grandparents, Jack and Susan Fetsko Sr.; her maternal grandparents, Dennis and Darlene Bence, all of Marion Center; her brother, Todd Fetsko and wife, Kylee, of York, PA; her sister, Jacalyn Fetsko (Zane Gee) of St. Albans, VT; Aunt Brandi Ziel (Scott) of North Olmsted, OH; Uncle Steven Fetsko (Angie) of Waco, TX; Uncle David Bence of Marion Center; Aunt Ashley Holbay (Todd) of Johnstown, PA; Aunt Lucy Fetsko of Cranberry, PA; and numerous cousins in Pennsylvania, Ohio and Texas.

She was preceded in death by her aunt, Danielle Bence.

Friends will be received from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 8, 2026, at the McCabe-Roof Funeral Home, 565 Franklin St., Clymer. Additional visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with a funeral service beginning at 11 a.m. with Pastor Paul Wallace Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in New Life Lutheran Cemetery, Marion Center.

Memorial donations may be made in Ada's memory to UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, Child Life Department – Art Therapy.
