It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ada Iris Morales, who departed this life on February 21, 2025, in Saint Johns, FL. Born on May 14, 1952, in Brownsville, NY, Ada was a proud Puerto Rican whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many throughout her journey here on Earth.
Ada's professional life was characterized by her dedication and expertise in the banking industry, where she served as Vice President of Mortgage Services at Maspeth Federal Savings and Loan. She was a respected leader within her field and made a significant impact on those she worked with.
Above all, Ada was a devoted mother and grandmother. She is survived by her loving daughters, Jina and Melissa Morales, her common-law spouse, Elnesto DeLaRosa, step-daughters, Rachel Hudson and Jessica DeLaRosa and her cherished grandchildren, Brenden Sabino, Christian Marcano, Brandon Tyson, Tyler Hudson, Cheyanne Hudson, Julien Hudson, Julysa Sinclair, and Amila Sinclair. She is further survived by her beloved sister, Wanda Vega.
Ada was preceded in death by her parent's, Victor Arzuaga and Agustina (Hernandez) Arzuaga.
In celebration of Ada's life, a public viewing will be held at St. Johns Family Funeral Home on February 26, 2025, at 5:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will take place at the Cathedral Basilica on February 27, 2025, at 9:00 AM.
Ada Iris Morales will be deeply missed, but her spirit will remain forever in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace.
