Ada Hall Russo, 93, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on August 12, 2024. She was born November 4, 1930, in Mc Dowell, Kentucky, to Willie and Minnie Hall.
She attended High School in Mc Dowell and upon graduation went first to Berea, followed by moving to Eastern Kentucky University where she met the love of her life Russ. Russ and Ada were married for 49 years until his passing in 1999.
Ada lived a full life joining Russ to live in Germany post WW2 and ultimately moving back to Kentucky, first in Lexington and finally Louisville. Ada loved square dancing, baking, sewing, and Beargrass Christian Church where she was a devoted member her entire life.
Ada is preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Minnie Hall; her lifelong husband, Russ, and her siblings: Jim (Anna Rae), Bobby (Audrey), William (Helen), and her very loved twin, Vada (Bill). She is survived by, son John (Alexis); grandson, Zachary (Kirsten), and step grandson, Archer.
Ada had so many friends there are too many to call out, but a special thanks to Mary Vanderpool for all the years of friendship, love, and support.
Visitation will be from 9:00am - 10:30am, Thursday, August 15, 2024 at Beargrass Christian Church (4100 Shelbyville Rd, Louisville, KY 40207) with funeral service to begin at 10:30am.
A private burial will take place at Resthaven Memorial Park (4400 Bardstown Rd, Louisville, KY 40218).
Services in the care of Ratterman Brothers Funeral Home, East Louisville (12900 Shelbyville Road, Louisville, KY 40243).
