Ada Lee Thibodeaux, 87, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2025, surrounded by family, in Beaumont, Texas.
A Memorial Service will be held 1PM, Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Proctor's Mortuary 3522 Washington Blvd. Beaumont, TX.
Ada was born on October 4, 1937, to Vorice Thibodeaux Sr and Blanche Roy Thibodeaux in Cheek, Texas, Ada lived a life rooted in love, service, and devotion to her family and community.
Ada attended Henderson School in China, Texas. From an early age, she was known for her generous spirit and deep compassion-qualities that would define her lifelong vocation as a caregiver. Whether tending to the needs of others professionally or within her own family circle, Ada gave freely of her time and possessions with unwavering kindness.
She was christened as a baby at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church on June 30, 1938-a spiritual beginning that reflected the values she carried throughout her life. Her faith and joyful heart were evident in the way she nurtured those around her. Family was the cornerstone of Ada's world. She shared a special bond with her brother Ted; it became a cherished tradition for them and his family to gather every morning at their parents' home next door. These daily visits were filled with laughter and warmth, moments that became treasured memories for all who joined them. When her only sister, Lee Ollie, became ill and later passed into Glory, Ada stepped in without hesitation to help care for her three beloved nieces: Kiven Ann, Tracy Kay, and Donnie. She supported her mother during this time and later assumed responsibility for caring for both of her aging parents. Her selflessness left an indelible mark on those she helped raise and comfort. Such as her own grandchildren, Leonard and Kendra, after the passing of their mother.
She was preceded in death by her father Vorice Thibodeaux Sr., mother Blanche Roy Thibodeaux; brothers, Vorice Thibodeaux Jr., Leonard Thibodeaux, Ted John Thibodeaux, Willie Gerone Thibodeaux; and sister, Lee Ollie Thibodeaux Joubert.
Ada is survived by her devoted son Leonard Charles Jefferson Sr., grandchildren Leonard Charles Jefferson Jr. (Gwendolyn) and Kendra Darice Raveiro (Julio); great-grandchildren Jai Marian, Carmillion, Juliana, Solanah, Cataleya, Deshadrian, Larenz (Justice), and LaDainian; and one great-great-grandchild, Kai. Nieces, Nephews, and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends. Each generation carries forward the legacy of love and care that Ada so generously modeled.
Ada will be remembered not only for the care she gave but also for the joy she brought into every room. Her fun-loving nature made gatherings lively and memorable. She will be missed dearly by her special nieces, Kevin Ann, Tracy, and Alberta, who were by her side till the end.
