Brannen Family Funeral Services Glennville ChapelAdair Branch, a beloved farmer, father and grandfather, passed away on October 3, 2025, at the Optim Medical Center in Reidsville, Georgia, at the age of 83. Born on October 19, 1941, in Mendes, Georgia, to John Luther and Birdie Purcell Branch, Adair lived a life marked by hard work, dedication to family, and deep faith.
Adair served his country honorably as a United States Army Veteran, where he took on the role of Military Police while stationed in Germany. His commitment to service did not end with his military career; he extended that sense of duty to his community, where he was known for his generous spirit and willingness to help those in need.
Farming was Adair’s passion, a vocation that he embraced wholeheartedly. He spent countless hours working with his calves, tending to the land, and instilling in others the values of hard work and perseverance. When he wasn’t working on the farm, Adair cherished the simple pleasures of life, frequently riding around visiting neighbors and friends. Mornings found him at Bears Country Store in Gooseneck, enjoying coffee and conversation with his friends—a testament to the connections he valued in life.
A faithful and dedicated member of Loves Chapel Primitive Baptist Church, Adair found solace and strength in his faith. His love for God and his church community was evident in everything he did, and he was well-respected among church members for his unwavering commitment to his beliefs.
Adair's pride and joy stemmed from his family. He found immense fulfillment in spending time with his grandchildren, weaving moments of love and guidance into their lives. His legacy extends beyond his immediate family, as he touched the lives of many through his charitable contributions. Adair was a blood donor for many years until health conditions made it impossible for him to continue. He supported numerous organizations, including St. Jude’s’s, Wounded Warriors, Alzheimer’s research, and cancer societies, reflecting his compassionate heart and desire to make a difference.
