Adam Kaylub Barraza, affectionately known to many as Kaylub, was born on November 7, 2008, in Van Nuys, California. At 15 years of age, he tragically passed away on July 17, 2024, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
An interesting fact about Kaylub is that, until he moved to Nevada, everyone knew him as Kaylub. It wasn’t until his move that he asked everyone to call him Adam. Therefore, some of you may know him as Adam and others as Kaylub.
Kaylub had a bright, amazing, and compassionate soul with a big loving heart, especially when it came to helping younger children thrive. This was evident in his dedication to assisting children with special needs during his time at school, helping kids excel and learn at the Las Vegas Martial Arts Academy, and his loving care for his younger siblings, Silas and Ivy. Kaylub's big heart also extended to his love of animals especially his two favorite dogs Dodger and Yoshi, and his beloved cat Nesquik.
Kaylub was a cherished Son, Brother, Nephew, Cousin, Grandson, and Friend. He loved spending time with his family and friends, playing basketball, swimming, jumping on the trampoline, and eating his mother’s spicy shrimp. He enjoyed going to the movie theater and watching shows at home, particularly Stranger Things and various superhero-themed shows and movies. He loved anime and he had a deep passion for playing video games from morning until night, which he often shared with his brother, cousins, and friends. Kaylub excelled academically, frequently being invited to school award ceremonies.
Kaylub's legacy of love, kindness, compassion, and courage will forever be remembered by his family and friends. His absence will be deeply felt by all those whose lives he touched. May he find eternal peace in the warm embrace of his loved ones who have gone before him.
In honor of Kaylub, we are asking all his family and friends to write him either a letter, prayer, or poem that will be then placed with Kaylub for all eternity.
Memories and condolences can be left on the obituary at the funeral home website.
