Adam Bayer Obituary
He was a native of Jacksonville and son of the late Adam James Bayer & Estella (Olive) Prunty Bayer. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy on November 11, 1942 and discharged on December 2, 1945 and attained the rank of SC3C. On November 1, 1947, he married Evelyn Jeanette Smith and they would have been married 73 years when she passed away on September 13, 2020. He began his career with Peninsular Printing Company in 1945, obtained his GED and became a Master Electrician. He retired with more than 50 years service at the Florida Times Union.
Surviving family includes 2 daughters: Judy Sweat and Carol Logan (Mason); 1 granddaughter: Kimberlee Whiting and 1 great granddaughter: Morgan D. Maxey.
Graveside funeral service will he held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at Jacksonville National Cemetery, with Sister Sarah Team, officiating. We will gather in Procession Lane #2.
Peeples Family Funeral Home is serving the Bayer Family.
