Adam Hepburn

Adam Hepburn, 92, died peacefully on September 12, 2024.
Born on May 10, 1932, in Glasgow, Scotland, Adam immigrated to America in 1952, settling in Hillsborough, NJ, where he raised his family with the love of his life, Elizabeth.
Adam worked as a bricklayer and tile setter in Scotland before moving to the U.S. He later retired from NJ Bricklayers and Allied Craftsman Local 26/5, where he served as a bricklayer/mason and eventually moved into management with various construction companies.
In 1954, Adam proudly joined the U.S. Army and served as a cook in Nantasket, MA. He was an active member of the Hillsborough Senior Citizens, and throughout his life, Adam remained passionate about soccer. A former player himself, he enjoyed teaching his grandsons the skills of the game. He was also an enthusiastic supporter of Manchester United and the New York Yankees.
Adam's hobbies included hunting, fishing, attending car shows with his beloved 1970 Jaguar, and winning numerous ribbons. He especially cherished attending his grandsons' sporting events, always cheering them on with great pride.
Adam was predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Elizabeth "Betty" Hepburn, his parents, Adam and Irene Morton Hepburn, and his siblings John "Jack" Hepburn, Irene Fisher, William Hepburn, and Alex Hepburn, all of whom resided in Scotland.
He is survived by his son Donald Hepburn and his wife Karen of Ringoes, NJ; his grandsons, Adam Hepburn of Hillsborough, NJ, and Scott Hepburn of Ringoes, NJ; and his longtime partner of 20 years, Barbara Majka of Somerset, NJ.
Adam's legacy of love, dedication to his family, and his zest for life will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
